Hi there, welcome to my labor of love. I have poured a lot of love into these recipes in an effort to keep my Italian family traditions and recipes going on into the next generations. The entire site is a tribute to my Italian grandmother, Grandma Salerno. Think of this page as the main menu for family recipes. I will post new recipes on this page as I get all the details worked out. Many of these recipes take a long time to get nailed down due to the vagueness of my grandmothers recipes. Instructions such as: A pinch of this, of cook until done, etc... Make it a little challenging to get it right. There is a lot of experimenting that has to be done before it comes out like she made it. There are phone calls to my Mom and Uncles discussing certain details that may have been left out and then trial and error until finally the magic happens. Just like grandmas! Happy cooking~!

Anthony's Pasta Cooking, Leftovers and other secret Italian Cooking Tips!
This is a special page I have created where I try to explain important tips and secretes about the recipes, leftovers and answer question I receive that I do not have covered in the recipes.

My Italian Grandmother (Anna Copozzi Salerno)
My grandma Salerno... "The best cook I ever knew!" My Grandmother and Grandfather Salerno were from Santeramo in Colle: Apulia Region (Puglia), about 10 Miles south of Bari, Italy. I have created this special "My Italian Grandmother" page which goes into a lot of my family history on the Italian Side. I am Italian/Irish. My Dad's parents were from England/Ireland and my Mom's parents were from South Italy. All of the recipes on this site are what my grandmother used to make, so all of them are from south Italy. I have noticed a huge difference between Southern and Northern Italian cuisine. My grandparents ended up settling in Winchester, Massachusetts and that is where my Mom grew up. I am from Springfield, Massachusetts and spent a lot of time in Winchester hanging out at my grandparents house being around all that wonderful food! Was amazing time! I much simpler time back then.

Visitor Photos (Happy Cooking, Happy Times, Share The Love!)
I love this section of the website. I have created the visitor photos section of the site for the main purpose of letting people share their Italian cooking experience. Sharing photos of laughter and fun in the kitchen and at the table. Check out some of the wonderful photos some of the visitors took while making these Italian recipe. Italian cooking is so much more than just about the food! It's an event, it's about the people and the love shared while spending time in the kitchen and at the table together! Good times!
